Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to Innovative Retail Solution (“we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Service govern your use of our courier and logistics services. By engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

Charges, Surcharges & Payment

The following charges and surcharges are applicable to all shipments:

• Fuel Surcharge: A surcharge of 35% will be applied to the freight charges.
• Goods and Services Tax (GST): GST will be levied at 18% or as per the prevailing rates mandated by the Central Government of India.
• Payment Terms: All invoices are to be paid within 15 to 30 days from the date of issuance, as agreed upon in the service contract.
• Cash on Delivery (COD) / To Pay: A fee of ₹250 or 0.1% of the consignment value, whichever is higher, will be charged for COD/To Pay services.
• Freight to Collect (FTC): For GEC (General Express Cargo) services, a charge of ₹170 per consignment is applicable for freight collection at the destination.
• Insurance Surcharges: A fee of ₹50 or 0.1% of the declared invoice value, whichever is higher, will be applied for insurance coverage.
• Packing Charges: If packing services are provided by us, additional charges will apply. Please note that the final weight of the consignment may change after packaging, which could affect the final freight cost.

Risk Coverage & Liability

We offer different risk coverage options based on the declared value of your shipment. It is the shipper’s responsibility to declare the correct value and choose the appropriate risk option.

“Owner Risk” implies that the shipper bears the risk of loss or damage. “Carrier Risk” implies that Innovative Retail Solution assumes liability up to the declared value, subject to the terms of the insurance policy.

Shipment Policies & Weight Calculation

• Volumetric Weight: The chargeable weight for a shipment will be the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is calculated using the following formula:

  Volumetric Weight (in kg) = [Length (cm) x Breadth (cm) x Height (cm)] / 4750

• Banned & Restricted Items: Consignments entrusted to us for transportation must not contain items listed in our Banned & Restricted Items list. This includes but is not limited to hazardous materials, illegal substances, currency, and perishable goods. Shipping such items may result in legal action and forfeiture of the shipment.

Zone Definitions

Our domestic shipping rates are based on the following geographical zones:

• Metro: Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad.
• National (Rest of India – ROI): All locations in India other than those defined as Metro or North East.
• North East / Zonal Plus: Assam, Bhubaneswar, Darjeeling, Siachen, Orissa, Sikkim, West Bengal (excluding Kolkata), Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), and the state of Maharashtra.

General Conditions

We reserve the right to open and inspect any shipment for security reasons or if we suspect it contains prohibited items. Our liability for any loss or damage is limited to the amount specified in the Risk Coverage section. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, or transport network disruptions.
